Empower accountants to unlock their full potential

Uku was founded in Estonia a decade ago by life-long friends — me and Jaanus. Our passion has always been innovation and digitalization of business processes. Before Uku, we ran a design and development studio called Artify.

One sector kept coming back with the same unsolved problems: accounting firms. Accountants were drowning in spreadsheets, juggling emails, losing track of deadlines, and struggling to bill fairly for the work they did.

The tools available were either too generic or too rigid. None of them understood how an accounting practice actually runs.

And our dream was born with Uku.

Almost overnight, the software was immediately embraced by local accounting firms. We built something that fits their reality — not the other way around. Software should be intuitive and easy to use, enabling accountants to complete tasks on time while creating personal time.

Today, Uku is used by hundreds of accounting firms across Europe and North America. But we are still that same team, driven by the same belief: accountants deserve better tools.
