Your tax software is the one system you won't replace. So Uku doesn't ask you to.
CCH Axcess prepares and e-files the return. Uku runs the work around it. This is what we are building to move between them, and which way.
In the direction your firm chooses: from Axcess, from Uku, or both. Matched on tax ID, and you review anything unclear.
Each return becomes a task on the client, from the template you pick for its return type. Your Axcess return statuses move the task along.
Filed, received, accepted or rejected, with the reject reason on the task.
Planned scope. We confirm the final list when it ships.
Some firms add a client in Uku and want them in Axcess. Others start in Axcess. Pick either way, or both, and Uku matches on tax ID so nobody ends up twice.

Most firms don't have someone who writes code. The integration is built so they don't need one.
An admin connects it from Uku's settings. No code, no file juggling.
From Axcess, from Uku, or both. Review the matches before anything changes.
Pick the workflow template for each return type and the Uku status for each Axcess status.
We are building it now and have not set a public date. Book a demo and we will show you where it stands, and you will hear from us first when it is ready.
Yes. Export your client list from CCH Axcess, import it into Uku, and keep preparing and e-filing returns in Axcess Tax. Until the integration ships, client details are kept in both systems and return status is updated by hand.
No. Returns are prepared and e-filed in CCH Axcess Tax. Uku runs the work around them: the task, the checklist, the documents, the client conversation, the time and the invoice.
No. It is being built as an app an admin connects from Uku's settings, with the sync direction, return types and statuses chosen on screen. Firms that want to build their own connection can also use Uku's public API and webhooks on the Elite plan.
You choose. Some firms create clients in Uku and send them to Axcess, others start in Axcess. The integration is planned to support either direction, or both, with clients matched on tax ID and a review step for anything that does not match cleanly.
That is the idea. Keep Axcess Tax for returns and move workflow, time, billing, documents and the client portal into one Uku plan with a public price. Our switch guide covers how firms do it.
