Nevada has no state income tax on wages and no employee-paid state payroll programs, so the only taxes withheld from a Nevada paycheck are federal. Employers pay unemployment insurance on the first $45,400 of each employee's wages in 2026 (2.95% for new employers), a 0.05% Career Enhancement Program contribution, and the Modified Business Tax on quarterly payroll.
