Employees pay 1.1% Temporary Disability Insurance (including caregiver leave) on the first $100,000; employers pay unemployment insurance on the first $30,800.

- Annual brackets: 3.75% up to $82,050, 4.75% to $186,450, 5.99% above.
- Each allowance is $1,000 a year. When annual wages exceed $290,800 the allowance amount is zero.
- Employers must use Form RI W-4, not the federal W-4, for Rhode Island withholding.
- 401(k) and Section 125 deductions reduce Rhode Island wages.
